This is Asmaou Baldé, Founder of JeRah Beauty Salon & Spa and a master hairstylist with over 20 years of experience in Black hair education and cultural practice. I’ve been offering an interactive educational workshop titled “The Story of Our Hair,” designed for youths to explore the history, cultural significance, and science of Black hair and braiding. The workshop supports cultural identity, self-esteem, and inclusive education, and has been very well received by youth and community audiences.
